I thank God for the heritage of great men who have left their footprints in Creve Coeur and have stood firm in faith, doctrine, truth, holiness and the love of God’s Word.-Rev. R.E. Talbot “Laying up in store for themselves a good Foundation…” (Titus 6:19) In the winter of 1680, Robert Cavalier, Sieur de La Salle, traveling north built Fort Creve Coeur for him and approximately 40 men who were with him which became a community incorporated (circa 1934) as Creve Coeur. Many years later this same place would be the beginning of establishing the truth of the message of Jesus Christ that would change hearts and lives forever. Here in this community stand two landmarks: 1) that of an early explorer looking to settle new territories for Louis XIV King of France and 2) a church that would be established to claim “new territories” for the Name of Jesus Christ! “Thou hast given me the heritage of those that fear thy name.” (Psalm 61:5) In the fall of 1957, the United Pentecostal Church was started in Creve Coeur, and the first service held at 133 Elmridge Place founded by Brother and Sister Eaton. Through the 56 years there have been many changes and people have come and gone, but the message that once was delivered to this city is the same message that is preached and taught today at Christian Life Church. I thank God for the heritage of great men who have left their footprints in Creve Coeur and have stood firm in faith, doctrine, truth, holiness and the love of God’s Word. 1957 (Fall)-1968, Founders Reverend and Sister Paul Eaton1968-1971, Reverend and Sister Thomas Latta1971 (Spring), Reverend and Sister Melvin Webb1971 (December)-2000, Reverend and Sister Eugene Talbot2000 (October)-Present, Reverend and Sister Ronald Talbot
